Unit Goals

After learning the unit, students are expected

·to know some features of the literary form of drama,

·to learn how to make life decisions and set life goals,

·to learn to communicate and exchange ideas on given themes about making choices in life,

·to learn some useful words and expressions from the unit, and

·to improve English language skills, communication skills and critical thinking.

Before You Read

Read the following list about choices, talk about the following choices with your partner and produce a list of choices you have made.

Choose to be happy regardless of the circumstances.

Choose to see only the good in things & people, and avoid dwelling on the negatives.

Choose to find solutions not problems!

Choose to live free, in life and in spirit, so no cage could or ever will hold me.

Choose to expect victory and success; failure is not an option.

Choose to give back and be grateful for all my blessings.

Choose to not let others’ negative ideas or opinions affect my choices.

Choose to make choices by myself instead of letting the world choose for me!
