Situational Dialogue 1

Anna wants to take a trip over summer vacation, but she doesn't know where to go. Mr.Brown is a clerk of a travel agency. Anna comes to the travel agency to ask Mr.Brown for some information about the tour.

(A:Anna,B:Brown)

B: Hello, Miss! May I help you?

A: Yes. I am thinking of taking a trip during this summer vacation. Could you give me some advice?

B: Yes, Miss. Where would you like to go?

A: Well, perhaps to Beijing or Hangzhou. I'm not sure. Would you give me some suggestions on where to go?

B: How about Qingdao? We have a nice package tour to Qingdao.

A: How is it?

B: Lovely. This beach resort is very popular and attractive.

A: No, not to a beach city.

B: You'd prefer to visit Beijing, would you?

A: Well, I know Beijing is an ancient city and it is the capital of China. I'd like to go there this summer. Would you tell me what we could see there?

B: A lot of things. There are the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace,the Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park and Ming Tombs, etc.

A: Thank you very much for your recommendation.

B: You are welcome. I hope you'll have a good time on your trip.

Suppose you are a clerk of a travel agency. A customer, who wants to spend his vacation in Hainan Island, comes to your travel agency to ask for some information about the trip. You are receiving the customer.

Situational Dialogue 2

Alice and Betty are discussing the details about the arrangement of their sightseeing in Beijing.

A:Let's have a look at the copy of the itinerary. Well, three-day sightseeing and a half-day shopping.

B:Would you like to go through the details of the sightseeing now?

A:Sure. What interests me most is the Great Wall. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
